A wonderful trip to Tilgate Park involved meeting a variety of minibeasts with the chance to hold and touch the creatures (some more willing than others!) We really enjoyed looking around the Zoo and especially watching the ants hard at work carrying huge pieces of leaf back to their nest.
We had a delicious minibeast picnic including butterfly biscuits, Babybel lady bugs, cheddar bees and grape caterpillars. We loved playing on the old dead tree, balancing and jumping and rolling on the grass. What a superb day and thankfully the weather was perfect!
We have enjoyed writing about our sweet fluffy chicks called Dave, Crisp (as in potato crisp not crispy chicken!!), Fizz, Millie, Sweetie, Cutie, Cheeky, Silky, Polly and Molly! We said a sad farewell to them on Thursday but know they are off to a good home!
We have also been working on ordering numbers again and doing lots of practical maths to consolidate what we have learnt. Please check book bags for a note home that we would like every parent to fill in. Well done to all the children for their
excellent effort and participation in the EYFS Duathlon. We are very proud of you all!!
