Reception News – Summer Term 2017 – Week 8

17th June 2017

Moving Up morning proved to be a great success and despite some unsure little faces, everyone had a great morning and the Year 1 teachers were very impressed with how grown up and independent the children were.

We continue to work on the number system this week specifically on addition and subtraction, counting on and back on a number line and writing number sentences.

We wrote our Father’s Day cards beautifully to and we think our Daddies will love them! We asked the children “what do you love about your Daddy?” and were delighted to hear how many Dads love playing football, having fun and larking about!

In art we finished off our summer pictures as we chose different media to show our favourite part of summer. Forest School was glorious this week as we played ‘find the minibeast’ games and had fun using our imaginations in storytelling.

Another Virtual Open Day!

Our next Virtual Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 October where we will share a link to an exclusive Open Morning page. The page will contain more information about our school and videos showing ‘A day in the Nursery/Pre-Prep/Prep School’.

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on
