Reception News – Week 5

7th October 2016

This week Reception has been busy looking at animals that slither and slide in the jungle. We’ve read ‘The selfish crocodile’ and made our own crocodiles from clay. We’ve also made spoon animal puppets as part of our Knowledge and Understanding’ using natural materials found in the woods.

In maths we’ve learned about repeating patterns and had great fun trying to make our own repeating patterns on our snakes. We continue to make great progress learn-ing all our phonetic sounds and we have started to make our own CVC words using the magnetic boards.
