Reception News – Week 6

16th October 2016

As well as lots more sound and number recognition, we’ve had fun designing our own r-robots using 2D shapes. They looked spectacular! We’ve also learned about time this week specifically focusing on days of the week. We’ve learned their order using the catchy tune of the Adams family song!

This term we are experimenting with different materials in Art. We’ve used salt and glue painting to create our very own pumpkins as part of the harvest week activities. It was quite hard for most of us to do gentle sprinkling with the salt but Mrs Diedericks saw some fantastic perseverance from most of us.

Next week will be our last jungle week. We are looking at animals that roar and have claws.
