Reception News – Week 7

21st October 2016

We finished our jungle theme this week learning about animals that roar and have claws. The children could choose either to paint a lion using a very unusual paintbrush … a fork! … or to curl paper to make our lion’s mane. The results have been fantastic!

In Maths we continued our number journey, focusing on the number 7 for our formation. We learned about positional language and had great fun putting funny looking aliens and serious astronauts in the right place.

In technology we dressed the beebots up to look like tigers and had to send them in the right direction.

After half term we will be changing topics to ‘Autumn’ and look forward to learning all about it.
