Shapes are Symmetrical

17th January 2016

We have been very busy with our maths this week. We have learned about 2D shapes and their properties. We’ve also learned that some of the shapes are symmetrical. As part of our symmetry lessons, we have made the most exquisite symmetrical butterflies using string, paint and paper. That was quite tricky!

Our topic for the week is ‘on foot’. Walking through paint with our boots and making our own trails was great fun in Art. We have looked at maps and how we need different ones for different journeys. We each made a map from our classrooms to the assembly room. Please can each child do a basic map of their journey to school and bring it in on Monday? Thank you!
