The Egg Box Parachute Challenge

9th February 2018

It has been our last week on our Transport topic and we focussed on transport through the air. In Forest School Mr Lloyd came up with the egg box parachute challenge. The children had so much fun making parachutes in teams and then flying them off the climbing tower. We have also made kites … who knew how tricky it could be keeping all those different parts together!

We have also worked hard in Maths comparing different lengths, sizes and weights of objects. We ordered our wiggly worms according to their length, measured each other’s footprints with bricks and had fun weighing different objects that we found in the classroom.

In Literacy, we wrote fabulous postcards to Mrs Swadling and Mr Jones from our magical holiday destinations. For most of us this was a first and we all had to really concentrate on our writing this week.
