We are beginning to get festive in classrooms as we have been painting and glittering decorations in preparation for the Christmas Fair. In literacy, the children have been blending and segmenting rhyming words. The children enjoyed exploring different ways to make new words using magic magnetic wands and letters to build their words.

In maths we have started to look at addition, and are discovering lots of practical ways to do addition sums using a variety of games and resources. There’s also been much excitement about the nativity and the children are working hard to give their best performance for their parents next week.

In Forest School we’ve made beautiful Christmas wreaths for our classroom doors. The children had to work as teams to forage for natural materials to decorate their wreaths with. The end results were spectacular!
