Students with headteacher

We have been very busy!

12th February 2016

We have now wrapped up our transport topic and are beginning to think about our new topic – On the Farm. The children worked in groups talking about what happens on a farm, looking at pictures and deciding what they would like to find out about farms. Our very own Miss Calvert, who studied agriculture, was on hand to assist with any questions. There will be lots more to come on this topic in the second half of their term including a trip to a farm!

We continued to look at measures in maths by measuring and weighing out our ingredients for pancakes on Tuesday! We shouted “hoopla” every time the pancakes were tossed, and loved eating the results! We have also been practising writing our numbers to 20 and getting them the right way. All children could practise this over the half term break.

In literacy we have continued to develop our emergent writing skills by writing some lovely Mother’s Day cards and we have also really been working hard on our handwriting. We hope you have noticed at home!!

All in all the children have worked very hard over the last few weeks and deserve a break!

Virtual Open Day

Another Virtual Open Day!

Our next Virtual Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 October where we will share a link to an exclusive Open Morning page. The page will contain more information about our school and videos showing ‘A day in the Nursery/Pre-Prep/Prep School’.

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on
