This week we have been looking at what farmers do, thinking in particular about planting seeds and growing crops. We talked about why farmers have scarecrows and then made our own. We’ve had our green fingers out again as we planted some vegetable seeds and some of the children have been telling us how well their cress seeds have grown and what they have been doing to care for them. We also cut up a variety of fruits to taste and compare to make a fruit salad.

In Maths we have been revising the recognition of coins and then ordering them from smallest to largest value. We also played shops, finding totals of coins.
