It’s Monday and the first day on the slopes. Happy birthday Franz!

A good nights sleep for everyone. Woke up at 7.00am, breakfast at 7.15am with a departure time of 8.15am. The first morning is always the worst with lost to sort out. Children need to be given

  • Lift pass
  • Medicard
  • EHIC card
  • Lunch voucher
  • Pocket money

Then check that they have a helmet, gloves x 2 (left and right), goggles/sun glasses and sun cream (applied already and to take up the mountain). Franz has sympathy with beginners who have never experienced this before, but old hands should be fine – but some are not so as we were late departing and Franz hates being late! On the coach now en route to the gondola. Eddie and Jody (Mr and Mrs Franz’s other daughter who arrived yesterday) need to sort out skis/boots/pole and Bryan needs a ski suit – he was sure it had been ordered by parents but apparently not! This is why Franz loves Interski! They can sort out anything!

Children all organised into ski groups, some ski offs arranged to check what children think is their ability actually matches what they can do! Franz is skiing like a jelly baby – must be the age!
Nice lunch in the sun and then Senior staff finished early for a lemonade whilst folding up some rays! Junior staff doing an extra run – oh the keenness of youth!

Franz will need yo keep an eye on BP as the Chinese National ski team are training in Pila – I’m sure Bryan will try to join them!

Taylor lost a tooth during supper. Head of Science told him the English tooth fairy was far more generous that the Italian one, so he was better off taking it home!

On the coach now on the way to bowling! Mrs Franz rematch against Mr A!

Franz’s Birthday bowling party is about to begin! All those tired children have now come back to life.Miss J was the star bowler, just beating LM who was the best child, and beat all the other staff!!

The venue sold out of chuppa chup lollies, so children now full of sugar and wide awake- all the staff are ready for bed!
