1st VII Hockey v HXP

13th November 2017

Even with a couple of regular players missing from the squad, this fixture turned out to be very exciting. There was hardly any moments rest as both teams played with a high intensity. The home side had the upper hand in the first half as they took early shots and followed up the rebounds to go 2 goals ahead in the first half. Copthorne did have a couple of break a ways but was out done by some fantastic goalkeeping. When Jemima thought she had the keeper beaten she was only then denied by the posts. By the second half both teams where well on form, quickly turning defence into attack. Copthorne this time had the upper hand and most of the territory, using the space and width well. The girls entered the D on numerous occasions but once again stopped by outstanding goal keeping. Luck was definitely not on our side this afternoon as the girls continued to hit the posts or just pushed the ball wide of the goal on the rebounds.

Well played girls, best performance of the season.
