1st XI Cricket v Duke of Kent

To be honest this was another disappointing day at the office and a game that we should have won comfortably.                        Bowling first Zac (1 for 14) and Andre (1 for 24) bowled well however the back up in the main was weak conceding far too many boundaries from indifferent deliveries. Ollie and Yonis were the best of the rest. 155 for 3 however was still certainly a getable total. We started well with Toby playing a couple of delightful shots but then gave his wicket away. However Zac (24) and Nabil (27) looked comfortable and cruised rapidly to 40 from only 6 overs which was well on target against rather indifferent bowling. There then followed a collapse of England proportions with no other batsman making double figures and the side was bowled out for 86 with 4 overs remaining.

Positives were the opening bowling and Nabil and Zac’s batting with Dylan getting better and better behind the stumps however there is a lot to do with only 2 games remaining. Thanks to Peter for scoring again.  JC
