1st XI Cricket v Windlesham – Summer 2017

14th May 2017

At last decent weather for the cricket. After 4 overs we had reduced Windlesham to 19 for 4. Quite rightly we changed the attack and in the end used all 10 bowlers allowing the opposition to reach 114 from 25 overs.

Considering the strength of our batting this should have been a formality and it started well with Josh and Kieron going along comfortably at the required rate. One over of innocuous medium pace changed the game as we lost 3 wickets in 5 balls. Although Kieron, Jacob, Joseph and Nick tried we simply batted poorly and finished 30 odd runs short of the target. This is a game that we should have won however we have learnt our lessons and certainly will not make the same mistakes again.

A lovely day but not the result we should have had.
