Cumnor House were always going to be the bench mark as to how far we had come as a team and we were overwhelmed in the first half by a very good side indeed. However I was delighted with the way the boys showed some real character in the second half and took the battle to Cumnor. We managed to score three tries after the break and the second half score was 21 – 19 to Cumnor which was a huge improvement on the first. A lot of credit is due to the way that Charlie Francis and Rob White led by example and encouraged the fight back. The result did not make happy reading but we have certainly learnt a lot and will be better players for the experience. Handcross await.
