Not exactly the end of the season that we were hoping for but so be it. Brambletye had obviously not read the script concerning our unbeaten season and, although the sides were fairly well matched we played most of the game on the back foot. Injuries, illness and a lack of preparation are our excuses but, on the day we didn’t execute with sufficient precision to create the continuity and possession required to win the game. The look of despondency on the boys faces at the end of the match spoke volumes about their commitment this season and it has been a pleasure to watch and coach them. They have come a long way in a short time and I believe that they have thoroughly enjoyed most of the journey.
As a result we finish the season having played 6 Won 4 Drawn 1 Lost 1 Points for 166 Ag 66. This has to be one of the best seasons for a long time so well done all of you.
