Colts A Hockey Festival at Ardingly

On Wednesday the Colts A attended Ardingly’s annual hockey festival. The aim of the afternoon is for the players to have a fun day playing, learning and gaining match experience for the hockey season. When not on pitch, the girls put their skills to the test, trying a number of fun hockey challenges.

All the girls had the opportunity to play in a match, not even the weather could affect the girl’s spirit and excitement. As the day progressed, the girls improved from game to game. They began passing the ball more and looked for the free space to move into. The girls showed a good team spirit and congratulated each other after a goal was scored. All the girls played really well and gelled together no matter which positions they were in.

At the end of the day it was a real tough decision to decide on the awards as all the girls worked hard, learning and improving. In the end the MIP went to Isabella as she became more confident as goalkeeper, making some fantastic saves. The MVP went to Sophie for her consistent, solid performance in defence and her organization of the team. Well done to all the girls. HP
