Colts B Cricket v Brambletye

8th May 2016

Sunny day, great tea, nice venue are things getting better? Absolutely, the boys won their first match this year by 20 runs.

Batting first we scored 108 Austin again top scoring with 32, 6 fours and 1 six and injured one brave fielder who threw himself in the way of one of his drives. With some excellent running between the wickets taken from a PE session on Tuesday it was always going to be a good total. When Brambletye batted Dhruv bowled their best player early which created pressure the boys kept on until the end.

Bowling and fielding and match awareness is improving every match and we now have a settled line-up with players starting to understanding their roles in the team.

However our enthusiasm can get carried away and comments taken the wrong way; so if we stick with “well tried” or “well played” nothing negative can be said against us .

Boys it’s great to see you learning , playing with enthusiasm and a smile, let’s keep up the hard work.

Team Akshay, Sam, Luca, Austin, Alex, Harrison, Antony, Jake, Ben, Dhruv and Cosmic.
