Colts ‘B’ Football v Pennthorpe

21st September 2016

Copthorne   0    Pennthorpe    4

The Colts B’s had a very poor first half against Pennthorpe and were 3 goals down at the break without offering much threat ourselves. Our marking and defensive organisation was dire and only Louis really made much impact in terms of tackling and aggression and desire to win the ball. Kochi did not have much protection in goal, but things did improve in the second half. Antony came on in defence, and Jake started to put more work into his defensive duties. This certainly helped and Ewan showed good energy when he was moved into midfield. He had our best chance of the game but unfortunately blazed over the bar with his shot. We conceded another goal in the second half and Pennthorpe certainly deserved the win, but at least our performance improved after a pretty disappointing start.
