Colts B Hockey v LND

20th November 2015

Lost 1-6

On Wednesday the Colts B team played away again, although this week we were playing on Lingfield Notre Dame’s astro pitch which was exciting. For this match the Copthorne captain was Year 5’s Emily Whittle. Just like last week we lost the toss and didn’t get first push back. We faced a tough game against LND and in the first part of the match the first goal scored was an amazing one by LND. A strong push back came from Alana to Emily. Good attacking from LND saw them regain the ball but a strong tackle from Leah sent the ball straight up the pitch to Emily and we scored our first goal! The LND girls sent the ball straight back down to Grace and what a great save Grace made kicking the ball away. At the end of the first half the score was 3-1 to LND.

In the second half Tali carried out some great attacking but sadly did not score a goal. There was some great defending by Leah, Mallory, Freya and Isabel and of course Grace our brilliant goalie. Also there was some great attacking by Alana, Isabel, Tali, Emily and Lila.

Unfortunately Alana had a slight accident which resulted in her twisting her ankle but she was very brave. At the end of the game despite all our best efforts we lost 1-6. Mallory was chosen as player of the match by LND and Miss Carter’s players of the match were Emily and

Mallory but also well done to Leah, Alana, Freya, Grace, Isabel, Tali and Lila and Miss Carter!
