Colts C & D v Ardingly

11th October 2017

So we reach our final game before the half term back and both teams made the short bus trip to Ardingly. As we parked up the rain began to fall so we made are way up to the hill to the far end of Ardingly grounds. As we reached the summit of our walk with the raining still falling we were made base between two pitches. It seems to be a regular occurrence at away matches these days that both C’s and D’s seem to play at the same time and so it proved today.

Colts C: This once again proved to be a very tight affair with both teams going close but failing to find the back of the net as the defenders held the upper hand with the game ending in a fair result of 0-0.

Colts D: The D’s came across something that I have never seen before at this level and that was full size goals on under 11 pitches. This made life very difficult for Rafe as he had so much ground to cover between the sticks, despite his best efforts the boys eventually lost 1-5 with our goal being scored by Lois (I think, sorry I was watching the other game at the time).

Both matches were played as 6-a-side which meant that we constantly made changes so that all boys got an even game.
