Colts ‘Thunder’ Cricket v Pennthorpe

19th June 2016

Well at last a sunny afternoon but alas no sunny performances.
The two sides played two matches against opposition from Pennthorpe. The Thunder team lost the first match after batting first and only scoring 20 runs. After a good start the boys only scored 6 runs from 18 balls a real reluctance to run and trust each other.
Pennthorpe won quite easily.

In the second match the boys scored more runs but lost by one run but all had a opportunity to bat and bowl. The bowling is our biggest challenge the boys simply try and bowl too quickly we gave Pennthorpe over 50 per cent of their runs. However we played in sunshine and both teams played on the main square, so a good day and plenty to learn from AS
