Football House Matches

19th October 2017

All available boys competed in the inter house football tournament on Wednesday. The seniors had played earlier in the week but the U9’s and U11’s all participated. Team numbers varied however everybody had to play at least a half of every game so this really is a whole house tournament. In the U9 group Workman were victorious. In the U11 section it was Newton who ran out the winners and then Sale won the seniors. The real winner however was the fact that over 100 boys ended up playing competitive sport in a very positive atmosphere. My thanks to the staff for refereeing, the senior boys for organising their house teams and dealing with all the substitutions and the supportive parents. In the end Sale were the overall winning house followed by Newton, Workman and Rendall.
