For the first 2 minutes Copthorne had the possession and territory but not the aggression and fire to get the ball passed the edge of the attacking circle. Brambletye, from here quickly settled and found there rhythm. They demonstrated how indoor hockey should be played, quick ball speed; continuous movement off the ball and not giving the ball carrier and time. Brambletye’s goalkeeper was outstanding and closed down any shot early on. Copthorne did manage to create scoring opportunities but the final pass went astray. Katie and Amber had a tough time in defense and did a fantastic job. Abigail and Jessica’s work rate was superb; they kept chasing back trying to win the ball. Sofia did manage to sneak one goal back towards the end. Hard luck girls.
