Girls 1st VI v Stoke Brunswick – Won 2-0

Although this was a training session, the girls played as though it was a match. Remembering what was done in practise and with encouragement from the sideline, the girls were strong on the ball making early passes into space as well as supporting one another. During the first half Copthorne had most of the possession, even after some strong challenges from the opposition, our attacking players of Katherine, Romy and Elise combined well with one another allowing Elise to score 2 great goals. Our defence, Federica and Subin had a bit more work to do in the second half. Standing their ground and breaking play down early before reaching our D, which made Avni’s job as goalie very easy only having to make one save the entire game. Well played girls.
