Girls 2nd VI Indoor Hockey v Great Walstead Won 9-1

Inspired by the 1st team’s performance the girls of the 2nd team were not to be outdone. They were determined and aggressive throughout all areas of the field. Sofia and Jessica were strong on the ball and looked to take on the opposition whenever they had possession of the ball and both ended the match with 4 goals each. Victoria was very unlucky not to have scored herself; she moved well into space to receive the ball and always made the defenders and keeper commit to making tackles. Great Walstead did manage to put our defenders under a bit of pressure but Amber was solid at the back and when winning the ball she quickly returned it up the field. Sarena and Abbey held their own in defense and cleared the ball with confidence. Abbey also found herself in an attacking possession and in the right spot at the right time to score her first goal. Kilti didn’t really see much of the ball during the match, those that did manage to sneak her way; she judged them well and cleared the ball before any attackers could get a rebound. Unfortunately one ball founds it way in the back of the goal. Well played girl’s it was a fantastic game of hockey.

Team: Kilti; Sarena; Amber; Sofia (4), Victoria; Jessica (4) and Abbey (1)
