Netball u10’s v Handcross

Lost 6-9

Having won the first centre pass, Copthorne scored two goals quickly in the first half. They kept their lead right up to half time with both Antonia and Maya shooting some excellent goals. Their were some excellent interceptions from Hannah, Abigail and Ella whilst Charlotte and Nia  tried hard to get the ball into the D. Our reserve Sarena played well keeping her opponent on the move and always finding the space to receive the ball.

However it was in the next two quarters that Copthorne lost some of the vim and vigour that they usually display.

Although the result was disappointing the girls worked hard throughout the match. Handcross were strong in their marking whilst Copthorne just needed to be more strategic with their attack.

This was our first loss as U10’s and despite our disappointment we must learn from it. Let’s win the next one!
