2nd XI v Brambletye – Lost 13½-21

Starting off in bat, Copthorne came out strong batting very well to come away with 10 rounders at the end of time. Fielding in the first innings was somewhat relaxed leaving room for improvement in the 2nd innings but allowing Brambletye to score 13 rounders. Batting in the second innings proved very low scoring for Copthorne, as Brambletye continued to
better their fielding and were able to get several catches from high balls. After several match tactics were put into place, our fielding in the second innings improved. Great teamwork was seen on the field and Poppy, Charlotte, Romy and Becky all made several catches. Congratulations to Anh who was the ‘player of the match’ playing excellently as 1st deep and also scored her very first rounder. Well done to Roshni who also scored a rounder and Becky and Charlotte who each made 2 rounders.
