U10 v Brambletye – Won 11-6½

Brambletye batted first and Copthorne controlled the first innings with their superb fielding.
Between Veronica Izzy, India and Melissa the girls managed to prevent Brambletye from scoring several times. Our batting was strong and the girls really pushed hard to score. They were prepared to take risks and as a result by the end of the first innings Copthorne were in the lead by 7-2. In the second innings our fielding was still tight with a great catch from Izzy. Brambletye only managed to score 4½.

Copthorne scored less in the second innings but maintained their focus and determination. A special mention must be made of Rosie who despite being a reserve was allowed to bat in both innings scoring 2 rounders.
A great first match performance.

Top batter- Sophie Miller 2½. Player of the match – all of you.
Well done girls!
