U10 A Netball v Cottesmore – Feb 2017

26th February 2017

Cottesmore had the first centre pass and it wasn’t long before they scored the first goal. However Copthorne was soon on the attack and Keira scored our first goal.  Both teams were equally matched  although Copthorne’s passing was a little too quick and as a result we lost possession of the ball on several occasions. There were some great interceptions from Eva, Amreet and Amelie and by half-time the score was 2-2.

In the third quarter our passing was stronger – there were some great passes between our forward Zara, Ellie, Keira and Annabelle but the opposition were determined too and very few attempts were made on goal from both teams.

With one quarter to go and still on a draw, Copthorne were ready to give their all. There were a couple of changes in positions and with the focus being on movement on court our girls stepped on the pressure. Our defenders worked hard to prevent Cottesmore from scoring more than one goal. Whilst Annabelle scored our fourth and fifth goals with Ellie scoring our sixth with minutes to go.

Well done girls it certainly was a close one. Thank you to all the parents who came to support us.
