U10 ‘A’ Netball v Pennthorpe

22nd September 2016

U10 A’s v Pennthorpe¬†¬† Won 12-5

Copthorne used the first centre pass to their advantage and soon we were scoring. There were some great passes from our girls and by the end of the first quarter the score was 2-0. In our second quarter Copthorne continued to hold possession with and there was some great shooting from Zara and Keira bringing the score up to 5-1 by half time. Our defenders Robin, Annabelle and Eva worked tirelessly to prevent the opposition from scoring.

Despite Mrs Dodson, one of the umpires, being a little harsher on our team, the third quarter was very strong as Copthorne stormed ahead. Gabi, Keira and Charlotte made some excellent passes whilst our defenders Annabelle, Ava and Eva made some great interceptions thus making it difficult for Penthorpe to score. As a result Copthorne scored a further six goals.

Due to the score being 11- 2 some of our players were moved around. Our defender Annabelle played for the opposition as they were one player down due to injury. However, this did not prevent our previous centre, Gabi from scoring a further two goals.

Thanks to all the parents who supported us and well done to the girls.

Players of the match – Keira, Zara and Gabi
