U10 ‘B’ Netball v BHHS

3rd December 2016

After a very noisy bus ride we eventually arrived at BHHS. The girls had a quick warm up and then we were ready to play. Ellie D had a tall GD marking her but she was quicker off the mark and managed to lose her partner to gain possession. Ella B had a fabulous first quarter; timing her moves brilliantly to get into a good shooting position. She scored our 3 goals with some good quick passing from Zara, Amelie and Ellie. Our defence was solid and the BHHS shooters hardly had a shot in the first quarter. It ended 3-0 to Copthorne.

In the second quarter Ellie D kept the scoreboard ticking over with 2 good goals. Zara controlled the centre of the court well and Kirsten and Simi intercepted and rebounded brilliantly in defence; even though their hands were freezing! Robin and Isabella were quick to drive forwards for the ball and send it down to our shooters.

The girls continued to turn over the ball and dominate the play for most of the game. Well done girls, a very good win. Zara was voted player of the match by the BHHS girls and my players were Ella B and Ellie D for their fabulous shooting, movement off the ball and unselfish play. Good job girls!
