This week I was lucky enough to watch and work with the U10’s again! Mrs Dodson and myself umpired half a match of the U10A’s and U10B’s, allowing us to watch and coach both of the U10 teams!

In the first two quarters of the match I umpired the U10A’s who found themselves up against their strongest opposition yet, but who fought to the bitter end, with Gabi and Keira getting my votes for POM from what I had seen in this match!

For the last two quarters, I then umpired the U10B’s who were already ahead when I took over from Mrs Dodson! In the third quarter they had most of the possession but struggled to convert their chances, tiring a little in this quarter! Nevertheless they never gave up and Ella scored a well-deserved goal with the help of Ellie assisting in the circle. The defenders Amelie and Kirsten also held strong allowing no goals to be scored.

Copthorne then went into the fourth quarter five goals up and so versatility was played! Due to the changes of positions, this team had a new lease of life in this quarter and both Robin and Sophie had a super quarter in attack and Ellie, Isabelle and Isabella also had a great game in defence. Ella continued to work hard in the shooting circle with Kirsten and was again awarded a well-deserved goal! The final score when the whistle went was 6-2 to Copthorne.

Well l done girl’s this was another great win and it was nice to see everyone trying their hand at different positons! POM picked by Caterham was Amelie and mine were Robin and Sophie! Well done to all of the girls today and keep it up!
