The Black team consisted of Yelena Finnegan (C), Amber Buggins, Madeleine Liu, Emilie Lagrange, Clara Vincent,
Emily Workman and Natasha Jones. The girls dominated in all areas of the court, Yelena and Madeleine shooting, Clara and Emilie in support around the circle and along with Emily Workman bringing the ball up the court, as well as Natasha and Amber in defence. The influence the girls had over the game meant that they went into the first break with a 5 to 1 lead. By half time the girls had increased their lead and the score was now 13 to 1. A change in position saw Emilie Lagrange and Natasha move into shooting in the third quarter. All the girls were challenged this quarter as they were all nearly thrown completely out of position and it took them awhile to adjust to their new positions, although the girls still came out on top with a now 15 to 3 score line.
In the last quarter, with no changes at three quarter time the girls began to adapt to their new positions with everyone playing an excellent last quarter both in attack and defence. The score at the final whistle was 20 to 3. The girls dominated the game from start to finish and played very well together given they had limited practice time as a team. Well done girls. KD
