U10A Netball v Brambletye

29th January 2018

Won 15-5

Well what an exciting match today, from start, to finish! The scoreline certainly didn’t reflect the match and it was in fact a much closer game, than the scoreline suggests. Despite not having the first centre pass again (which is becoming a weekly thing for the U10s) they once again turned over the play and were the first to score with a good goal from Ella. This got them off to a good start, which was important in this match, as they needed to take the upper hand first and maintain it, as Brambletye were definitely no push overs today, and were one of the strongest teams the U10s have played to date!
The defenders Layla, Martha and Ffion were once again tight in the circle allowing limited opportunities and chances on goal throughout the match, which was very important as Brambletye could shoot! The centre court play flowed fantastically at times (although further practice on this and channeling will aid the play further) and Harley was once again flying all over the court, controlling the game, although Brambletye’s centre didn’t make it easy for her!
A special mention must also be said to Ella and Biba whose movement around the circle was once again slick and fast, with some great shooting too!
Despite Brambletye’s resilience and determination throughout the match, and at times some very even play, Copthorne showed just what a solid and talented team they are and won the match 15-5!

Well done to all of the U10s, as I said earlier the scoreline certainly didn’t reflect the match but Copthorne certainly deserved the win! POM today was Harley. A great game to watch and umpire, but still improvements to be made girls, as we can always make our game better and improve!
