The U10A netball team played against Cumnor House yesterday and had another outstanding win of 26-0! Prior to the match the girls were set individual targets, which were all met within the first quarter! The movement between the GA (Biba) and GS (Ella) and C (Harley), was particularly impressive in this game, as their teamwork down the court is becoming second nature to the girls, making it lovely to watch. The defenders also did an excellent job; Martha’s focus and defensive skills managed to continuously stop the ball from entering the oppositions goal third, and Layla’s flying interceptions enabled us to consecutively turn the ball over to our team. The mid-court players Lowenna, Tayla and Ffion were great at picking up loose balls and passing the ball safely around the court. As a team we have been working on spacing and channelling in training, and I think that they showed definite improvements as the play seemed less crowded and more open for players to drive into space. An area which I think we could work on is creating set plays for movement around the circle edge at both defensive and attacking ends.

Well done girls another fantastic win, special mention to Harley for being voted player of the match by the other team!
