U10A Netball v Hurstpierpoint – Feb 2017

10th February 2017

Copthorne had the first centre pass and initially it looked like they were the stronger of the two teams. However, Hurst soon took possession and within a couple of minutes they had scored. Copthorne tried to keep possession however our passing was far too quick and inaccurate. Copthorne had several shots at goal but unfortunately we only scored one and were unable to be as accurate as we usually are.

The second quarter was a bit stronger as we intercepted many of the passes from Hurst however our lack of goals meant that the goal difference widened. By half time the score was 7-2.

After a quick pep talk Copthorne went back on court with renewed vigour. Our passing was better and our defenders Amelie, Amreet and Eva made some great interceptions. Both Keira and Zara scored and the rest of the attackers, Charlotte and Gabi were relentless.

Unfortunately it just wasn’t our day and despite scoring a couple more goals our movement on court wasn’t strategic enough. So a good effort girls; we do need to focus on a couple of areas but I am confident that we will be able to be successful in our next match.

Players of the match as voted by Hurst – Keira and Gabi
