U10A Netball v St Christopher’s

21st January 2018

Harley was the captain this week and although Copthorne lost the first centre this was quickly turned around when the play began.

All of the players got stuck in from the start and there were some fabulous interceptions on the court. Harley, Katie, Ella and Biba all gelled together well and despite an initial warm up period, the girls pace and play down the court and into the circle was just too quick for St Christopher’s and with the goals flying in, and the defenders Vicky, Gabi, Tayla and Clara remaining tight by half time, Copthorne were up by 14 goals to 1!

At half time changes were made and lots of the players found themselves playing versatility for the remainder of the match. St Christopher’s did fight back a little in the last two quarters and at times some of the play was more evenly matched, however Copthorne on the whole dominated the overall play and won the match 18 goals to 2!

Well done to all of the U10s today you all tried hard, no matter what position you played. POM was Harley, who also got my POM vote too. A great team and individual effort today girls, but still lots to improve on across the teams!
