U10B Rounders v Brambletye

13th May 2016

Copthorne opened the first innings by batting. Although we had some good opportunities to score the team didn’t score as many rounders as I know they are capable of; 2 rounders only. Our fielding was a little sluggish to start with however after the first ten good balls, Copthorne were better and managed to get 5 players out. The score at this stage was 2-9 ½.

Our second innings was a completely different story. The girls were more in tune with the game and most of the team scored. With 9½ rounders, from that 2nd innings, under their belt Copthorne became much more confident to field.

Our bowling and deep fielding were very good and although we were only able to get 2 players out our fielding was so much tighter. Brambletye were only able to score 6½ rounders.

So well done girls as you really made a difference in the second innings.

Thank you once again to parents who helped in terms of transport and who came and supported us.
