U10B Rounders v Cumnor

We arrived at Cumnor not knowing that we were playing two teams U10b & U10c. So we had to bat first and there was some good hits which gave us a great start. It is off putting for anyone to bat against a bowler who is having a bad day too. So patience in the batter’s square was important. We finished on 9½ rounders against the U10b team and they had scored just 12. So overall a good match.

U10c team lost the toss so they had to bat first. A couple of changes were made in the fielding and this was much stronger. Jessica (Player Of The Match) fielded brilliantly, she was quick to stop all balls in 3rd deep. Esme stepped up to the challenge of being a Bowler another calm, quick thinking performance in her bowling square. Millie was not missing those chances of knocking the ball far away to score some extra rounders for her team. Final score: we won 14½ to 9 rounders.  Well done to all!  MC
