Copthorne U10’s came right out at the start and gave the game to Great Walstead in what was a very wet and muddy contest! Great Walstead started off but Copthorne were able to turn it over through great work from Shams, who had a fantastic debut match, and got his first of 6 tries during the day. Great Walstead scored and it was a try one after the other until half time brought a score of 5-5.

Rian made massive tackles and when he had ball in hand, ran really well, up field! Adam who was also a debutant played very well, and set up Henri for his 1 of 2 tries, to get Copthorne back in the lead, but GW got an advantage of 3 tries at 9-6. Finley did great work on the wing to work play up the field, and Benjamin proved to be an asset even through minor injuries. Retan and Ronnie played really well at the back and Kochi made a try saving tackle at the back to keep Copthorne in it!

In the end, Copthorne levelled matters at 9-9 but GW, in the final movement of the game, got the winning try.

Well done to them, and a massive well done to our boys who played their hearts out!
