U11 ‘B’ Hockey v Brambletye

15th September 2016

Lost 0-4

Brambletye had the first pushback and it looked like both teams were evenly matched as neither held possession of the ball for too long. Our forwards, Tanishka, Ruby and Robin worked hard to drive the ball into the D but the opposition’s defence was strong.

Brambletye scored their first goal after some good tackles and saves by our defenders and goalie. Our captain Freya worked tirelessly to clear the ball from the D and our new goalie Emily V made some great saves. However Brambletye was strong in the D and soon they shot another goal.

There was some great attacking from Isabelle L and there were moments in the D that looked as if we were to score however, it just wasn’t our day. Despite some good defending from Romilly and Keisha Brambetye drove forward and scored with a lovely flick into goal.

It was our first time indoors and Copthorne’s first match. There are areas to work on but most importantly the girls did their best. Good try girls.
