U11 ‘B’ Hockey v Great Walstead

21st October 2016

Great Walstead had the first pushback and were soon on the attack. Copthorne’s defenders Freya and Alayna cleared the ball from the D giving Copthorne the opportunity to get the ball down to the D. There were some good passes between Ruby, Tanishka and Lacey but unfortunately they found it difficult to score.

Great Walstead gained in confidence throughout the match and scored their first goal within the first five minutes. Despite some great defending and tackles from our two defenders Great Walstead went on to score a further four goals. There were some close moments when Ruby, Romilly and Tanishka were in a position to shoot however the pressure of the game caused them to hesitate and despite some valiant attempts we were unable to score.

Player of the match – Freya
