U11 Girl’s Tennis v Brambletye

The U11 girl’s, who were all excited and looking forward to their tennis, travelled to Brambletye for their first match. Copthorne’s 1st pair of Liliana and Alys played wonderfully together and won all three of their matches convincingly. This was the first time that 2nd pair (Charlotte and Jemima) and 3rd Pair (Karina and Harriet) have represented the school in a tennis match and they all acquitted themselves admirably. Charlotte and Jemima lost to Brambletye’s 1st pair and just missing out (on the last game) to their 3rd pair but held their nerve and easily came out on top against their 2nd pair. Karina and Harriet had some fantastic rallies in their matches, with winners flying off Harriet’s racket. Also losing to the home sides 1st pair did not put Harriet and Karina off as they continued to go for the ball and enjoy the moment and at the end of the afternoon they surprised themselves by winning two of their matches. Well played girls, you were all awesome!

Final score: Copthorne 6 – Brambletye 3
