U11 Rounders v Cumnor – Lost 12½-23½

Like most of their matches so far this was a game of two halves. The girls struggled to hit the ball and only managed to score 3 rounders in their first innings. The girl’s fielding on the other hand was fantastic getting 3 players out in a row. Their throwing and catching was accurate, but there were a few big hitters from Cumnor that kept the score board ticking. The second innings was the exact opposite; the girls were beginning to hit the ball and their placement was much better. Molly top scored with 6 rounders. With a reshuffling of the fielders to stop the big hitters scoring freely, the girls started to panic a bit and lose their concentration which resulted in misfields and overthrows leaving Cumnor to score easily. Well done to Abigail who was voted player of the match.

Scorers: Molly: 6; Abigail: 2; Nia: 1½; Charlotte: 1; Hannah and Amber: ½.  HP
