U11 Rugby v Ashdown House

7th March 2016

Won 7-4

It may not have been a vintage performance from the Under 11’s; however, they got the result that they wanted. It was actually a fairly evenly matched game on  whole with both sides looking likely to score whenever they were in possession. The tackle and ruck area were very competitive and at times were a lottery as to who would come out on top. We were often a little slow in support of our runners so our normal off-loading game stuttered slightly. Ashdown had a couple of whippets playing out wide and they contributed 3 of their 4 tries and always kept the game interesting. It was during the second half when we started to  control of the game and stretch our lead. Although the game was fairly matched we never looked like losing and ended comfortable winners. This has put us in a superb position to finish with a winning season and it all comes down to next week’s game at Brambletye. We now turn our heads to rugby 7’s with 3 competitions in 2weeks! It’s a busy but exciting end to the term. MA

Try scorers: Ben C 4, Charlie, Luca and Austin
