U11 Rugby v Brambletye – March 2017

8th March 2017

On a miserable wet and cold afternoon the boys took on a Brambletye side that had won over 80 per cent of its matches and fielded some boys who were 80 per cent bigger than our boys. Even before the game there was a sign of things to come with Alex banging his head prior to the game.

The first half was a little daunting and the boys, although tackling fearlessly, were quickly 3 tries down. They then realised that going into contact was not the best approach and started to adopt a quick passing game to nullify the bigger, stronger opposition. The final score was 6 tries to nil but the boys never gave up, so much so that we had over 10 injuries to deal with. They should be proud they passed very well and created at least five good try scoring opportunities but just failed to finish.

Good effort all round boys.

Team: Louis, Antony, Liban, Luca, Jake M, Alastair, Alexander, Jake D, Cosmic, Sonny and Dhruv.
