U11 Rugby v Brambletye

11th March 2016

The final game of the season did not bring a vintage display from the Under 11’s, nor was it the result that we wanted. Our decision making was not on point throughout the whole game, often choosing the wrong direction in which to attack, leaving our ball carriers isolated. Our attacking line was never deep enough to bring pace onto the ball and in defence we were scattered, leaving huge holes for the opposition to run through. Although the game ended 4-3 in Brambletye’s favour and sounds close we never really looked likely to win the match. The most disappointing thing was to come from playing so well against Cumnor and Great Walstead last week at the 7’s to reverting back to old ways and not implementing the tactics we work on every week in lessons.

On Friday the boys have a chance to end the season with some pride intact at the Brighton College 7’s festival. I am sure that they will regroup and be ready to attack the day!

Try scorers: Luca, Ben C and Jacob.
