U11A Rounders v Cottesmore and Duke of Kent – Summer 2017

11th June 2017

The team travelled to Cottesmore to play a triangular tournament. The conditions were not perfect as the wind swirled around the open pitch. Copthorne played a 30 ball game against Cottesmore and although there were periods of very good play they lost by fifteen to nine and a half. The girls then had to wait for the other teams to play before taking on Duke of Kent. They played well and beat their opponents twelve to four. The team under the captaincy of Tali worked for each other and they all had their names on the score sheet. Emily and Mallory scored the most rounders with Beth closely behind. There was some fast and accurate fielding as well. Well done Ruby H, Ruby O, Macie, Freya and Alana for playing their part. Cottesmore were the overall winners. Emily was voted as the best batter and Alana the best fielder by Cottesmore.
