U11A Rounders v Notre Dame

Copthorne played an incredible game of rounders, working brilliantly as a team and showing great spatial awareness, reading the game well. Our fielding in the first innings only allowed Lingfield to score 1 ½ rounders. Natalie’s concentration was excellent, she stumped a total of 4 out on 3rd post as well as catching one. The deep fielders were on form getting the ball back to the post efficiently and accurately, stopping Lingfield scoring anything. The batting was fairly solid in the first innings, Alys and Hannah both scored a whole rounders as well as many others scoring ½. All the girls ran with determination and great speed making sure they got every extra ½ rounder they could. In the second innings we let a few more ½ rounders slip as the girls started to get a bit lazy with their passing. However we got 4 girls out through stumping and catching. We brought it back with the batting in the second innings, where we scored a total of 8 rounders, 4 being whole rounders from massive hits. The girls playing wonderfully and showed great teamwork, helping each other out and giving lots of positive encouragement. Really well done!! The final score was 14-5.  HD
